I need a new washer and refrigerator. Where is the best place to look?

Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, Appliance Direct or MVB Appliances in Fruitland Park. For brands I would avoid Frigidaire or Samsung (personal experience) like the plague.

I don't know about the refrigerator but the only washer I would consider is Speed Queen. We got ours at DeSantis Appliance.

Best Buy.
Get the cheapest, and don't buy extended warranty.
If white goods last the first year warranty, they stick around for years.
After years buying top of the range, we realized cheap, in nearly all cases of white goods, is just as good.

I am planning on avoiding Home Depot for major appliance purchases. I bought a washer & dryer last year & the delivery & set up team left me we a non-working washer & dryer. They left the exhaust hose unconnected & they left the electricity unconnected (neither were as simple as plug & go). As they left they had the audacity to ask me to leave them a good review. I had to hire an independant handyman to make the connections.

Both big box stores gave me unacceptable installation services. Never again. Now use Costco when possible

We had a great experience with lowes, a new stove and refrigerator. Installation was great.
You can schedule and re schedule on line.

We got some form appliances direct (441), not sure if they handle installation, ours were simple and I handled it. Also, as I recall they take away the old ones.

I agree with Appliance Direct. I got a "scratch and dent" fridge (just covered the 2 dings with magnets). It was a great deal, they set it up and took the old one to my laundry room and hooked it up.

Southeast Steel in Orlando.
No pressure, and their prices are as good or better than anyone else!
