There is nothing wrong with a battery operated cart especially if you are full time in The Villages and get your cart out of the "hot" garage in the summer ona regular basis. Since we are north during the summer, gas works for us. When we become "frogs", I will revisit the type of cart---maybe one of each. I like the quite electric when golfing.

I have had an electric golf cart for the past 5 years. Still runs as good as new. It is a 48 volt... with an e-z fill system. I can easily go from Lake Sumter to Brownwood to Colony and back to St.Charles/Bailey Trail 5 times before a recharge without losing any speed. I have never tried to go any further or longer because I really have not had to.
