Hi Joel: I've read with interest your TOTV comments on Chromebooks and Linux. Because of you, I put Linux Mint on a thumb drive and have used it on my Win10 desktop to access bank and brokerage sites. I also use LastPass.
I'm writing with a question about computer security. I have a Toshiba chromebook (Celeron N2840) which has reached its EOL so a new HP chromebook is on the way.
I've read about chromeos sandboxing which brings me to my question. Would it be more secure to:
Use Linux Mint with the Toshiba device and access ONLY the bank/brokerage sites forevermore
Use the new HP as is and reboot before and after I have accessed those sites
Another option
I prefer to have the sites open on another device while I update spreadsheets on the Win10.
Thanks for any info you can share, June
