Not sure what you are dealing with. Since you say it is Christmas lights, it is possible that weather has cause the bulbs to be stuck in. Spraying penetrating oil may free it up. Spray the base of the bulb and let it sit overnight. If, a typical threaded bulb, it needs to turn counter clockwise to remove. Surely, you can find someone to help you with this.
