Hi. We are new to the Villages too. We are so new that we won’t be to our Courtyard Villa until tomorrow sometime. With that said I did lots of shopping for internet and 1 TV since this is only a seasonal home for us. When all was said and done, I am having Century Link install internet with a speed of 25 MBPS download and thru them we are going to use direct TV. Total for both services for the first year will be $80 plus tax per month. We are not subscribing to any Sports or Premium Movie packages. There is one catch after a year the Direct TV service that’s combined will rise from $35 per month to $78 per month. So the TV service will increase after a year. Supposedly I will also get 2 $100 gift cards as given to new customers as a sweetener. By the way the 1 TV box we are getting does include DVR service. We are going to buy the modem outright since it would cost something like $10 per month to rent, cost of the modem is $100. Hope that helps. Good luck
