I suspect that the probability that the Delta variant arrived on our shores from a cruise ship is exceeding low. Many more people travel by air than cruise ships. The person sitting next to you on an airplane is a foot away from you.

However, I can't get it out of my mind that COVID came from the cruise ships onto the U.S. mainland. The crew and passengers visit various ports of call around the world and they pick stuff up along the way. It's actually quite logical, but I'm just saying for those who fear contact with the virus in any form should not cruise.

The number of vaccinated crew divided by the total number of crew times 100. They probably had 1 unvaccinated crew member.

I agree.

But say that that imbecilic idea is actually tried. A government action requiring the TSA to ascertain your vaccination status before allowing you to board an airplane for a different state could conceivably be done, but how about travel by road? They gonna build border walls? Maybe have checkpoints on all interstate highways? The logistics involved in enforcing such a decree would be mind-boggling.

I, for one, want such a decree to come down from the Federal government. The quicker it is, the quicker the SCOTUS can shoot it down.

Maybe the passengers forged their cards.

Our government ahead of the curve if cruising to Afghanistan

The CDC now requires all Taliban to be fully vaccinated before entering the US Embassy in Kabul and possibly spreading a new Covid 19 variant to embassy workers indoors.

Yes, but COVID-19 arrived by boat. Actually, it was probably already here we were just unaware but technically speaking those first cases were on those cruise ships that had to be quarantined.

Doubtful. The virus most likely first arrived by air from China. Later on there were undoubtedly cases coming in from multiple locations. However, try to stay on point, the subject is variants.

You've got the wrong thread. The subject isn't variants, it's how 27 people aboard a cruise ship tested positive for COVID.
