Curious on anyone's thoughts but New Yorkers probably who still have family in NY may really have a strong opinion on this. What do you think?

Over a few years now I have received countless scam calls in Chinese regarding unpaid taxes or such. The calls only recently abated. Pleasant chime music plays in the background. Usually the speaker is a female with a melodic voice although I cannot understand a word she is saying. I have no idea where they originate.

Somebody has to report the truth. The National Post is reporting the same in Canada.

To a degree you are right. However, this is the kind of news mainstream media buries because they are in the pockets of you know who. By the way, the Post isn't the only media reporting this. You'll never read this on mainstream media. There's a ton of violence going on in NYC and the criminals are walking free at least the Post reports that so we know what's really going on rather than pretending NYC is safe.

For many years the Chinese govt has had moles in every US business, US govt office, and college campus. In important roles with access to all information. Way too late to worry about that. Just assume whatever we know, they have taken. You're welcome!

What do I think? I think this has nothing to do with The Villages and you are just trying to stir up poop, you are what's wrong with this country.

The article says, “ The report details how China has attempted to “combat the growing issue of fraud and telecommunication fraud by Chinese nationals living abroad,” running operations that have resulted in 230,000 Chinese nationals being “persuaded to return” to China “voluntarily” over the last year to face criminal prosecution. The Chinese government has claimed that the stations provide vital services to its citizens living abroad, though the report notes that many of the services are those that would be traditionally carried out by an overseas embassy. Instead, the report argues that the stations have been used to enhance China’s overseas law enforcement capabilities in possible violation of international law. The report also outlines the potential human rights abuses associated with the stations, including using harassment and intimidation methods, such as threatening the family members of the overseas citizens. The stations have also served as centers to spread Chinese government propaganda and monitor the behavior and opinions of Chinese nationals.“ I lived and worked in China in 1983-84, and I’ve published two books about it. China even then had ways of keeping track of its citizens abroad and putting pressure on them. How far that went, I don’t know. If China is rounding up Chinese internet criminals and shipping them home, terrific! There are plenty of them to ship, and I wish other countries would also retrieve their criminals who make their way here. I believe in capital punishment for hackers and scammers. They return willingly to be punished? Really? Don’t believe it! HOWEVER, I know that China may also be seeking out Chinese living abroad who are hacking the internet in order to get truthful information to those in China. They also seek out Chinese here who tell the truth about China. There are a lot of good things about China and it’s people, but the government hates it when it’s propaganda is exposed. For this reason, yes, these operations of, essentially, Chinese Intelligence agents on foreign soil are worrisome. Human rights abuses? Entirely possible. If China wants to do this, it should agree to full cooperation with law enforcement in the country where they work. Catch slavers and send them home? Yes, please! But have a committee of local cops examine the bad guys first and protect the innocent. |

Just because it's on Fox doesn't mean it's not true. You should watch it some time. You might see things you never saw on mainstream media and had no clue it was going on. Have you heard that almost a thousand migrants, including babies and children have died crossing the border. Most of them drowning but some in tractor trailers who suffocated and died of heat exhaustion. Did CNN or MSNBC tell you that there are 7,400 illegals a day coming into the country? Probably not. But I'm sure you heard about the few that are being bussed to "sanctuary" cities that are crying about the unfairness of it all. BooHoo...you probably don't know the half of what's really going on!
