Default Do you think pro sports are dead?

Pro basketball teams refuse to play in protest of a racial event. Right now, it's both basketball and baseball. Not sure what will happen when football season starts.

So, are you tired of the activism in pro sports? Have you stopped watching?

You have to admit... golf continues to "fly underneath the radar." I haven't seen anyone on the pro circuit wear a "BLM" shirt. In fact, none of the pro golf players are jumping into this controversy.

I love this. They are just playing the sport they love and we just get to watch it. Sigh...

👎👎👎👎 no longer watch pro sports. I’m tired of hearing the thug millionaires talk about “oppression”.

Don’t hear them talking about stopping the violence within the supposed non violent protests.

Hopefully they will soon understand that all they are are entertainers nothing more nothing less and will go back to the only thing they do well.

I've been a big sports fan but I'm thinking about following my favorite teams this year.

First of all, I don't follow basketball but what they're doing makes a bit of sense.

Baseball is having a major problem with games not being played because of the virus. The season is meaningless. I'm not happy about my team supporting BLM.

I'm not happy about the NFL intending to play the Black National Anthem before their games. To me that's a very divisive move when we should be trying to unite our country. They also have many key players that are "opting out" for this season again making the games meaningless. Whoever wins the Super Bowl, if there is one, should an asterisk in the record book. I've watched every game that my team has played over the past twenty or so years, except when I lived out of the country. I'm seriously considering not watching this year.

I don't watch a lot of hockey except when my team is in the playoffs. But even that is ruined because there has been no season to determine who gets into the playoffs.

I'm glad the PGA Tour is back to playing. Not having fans takes a bit away, but all of the great players are still playing and there hasn't been much mention of the protests etc. They have had people during the breaks giving their "30 seconds" worth. Of course they all have the same message.

What's a shame is that the team sports are turning a lot of people away but supporting all of this division and protesting. I got a lot of enjoyment following my teams and I'm going to miss that. But the combination of the whining athletes and the problems caused by the virus have made me rethink the whole thing.

Let's all hope and pray some special interest group does not attack golf being seen as some form of "privilege".

As far as I'm concerned they could ALL stop playing tomorrow. Yes I would feel bad for the support forces bars, vendors etc. but as for the players their choice. No loss in my book!
