Default Washington The Nationals and New York Yankees take a knee

Did you see the beginning of the home opener in Washington last night where ALL the baseball players of both teams took a knee? That was quite shocking. I'm not one for political statement in work places, but I found it quite awesome to see so much support for black people.

I am not sure it is because they "support for black people".
For some it is about being against those who may not agree.
And there are those who just want to be where the camera and reporters are for personal recognition.

What else do all these high paid players do other than taking a knee to help/support black people???

I find it interesting when people are so upset with something they write letters about it and comment about it on multiple social networks. There is a fast and simple way to remove it from your life. If it's on tv (sports, speaker, news, celebrity, etc.) just use your remote. If it is a sporting event don't watch it until it actually starts. If you are so upset that you declare " I will never watch it again" many others do not care or even know about your decision.

I did read that they stood during the playing of our Anthem but took a knee before.

That is ok with me. What I didnt like was seeing blm printed elsewhere on the field.

That caused me to change the channel.

Either all lives matter or none matter.

I pay about as much attention to what professional athletes say and do as I do to the clowns in Hollywood....which is nothing, nada, zero, zip

The majority of them are just a bunch of overpaid, coddled people with way too high of an opinion of themselves...IMHO

I have ZERO (O) interest in MLB. I saw (on the news) Faucci's """pitch""", and some of the "action yesterday, with the ---IMO STUPID--- cardboard cutout fans. Also saw that MLB may 'pipe in' crowd noises (like old laugh-tracks in sit comms), and folks in stands via CGI.

Don't get me wrong - I'm happy for sports-starved fans---go for it and enjoy.

But me personally NOPE.

Also I saw a "BLM insignia" painted on the mound in one of the games yesterday...and in the news saw this>>>> Not a fan of blending "social matters" with sports and such. There is a time and place. This is simply...pandering. period.

Fauci wore a mask during ceremonial pitch, when he was 60 feet from anybody and the cameras were on.

Then later on in the stands

Do you also object to Jews making such a big deal out of what "they" call the Holocaust? After all the Nazis didn't just kill Jews they killed lots of Christians and Roma and disabled and Marxists and others. Why do the Jews keep making it all about Jews? Why don't the Jews correctly point out that it was about ALL lives not just their lives? All lives matter or none matter. So quit harping on Jewish deaths in particular. /s

That's a ridiculous analogy.

I would have cancelled the game and fired every player on both teams.

I saw it quite differently. I see a lot of overpaid athletes succumbing to social pressure and supporting, de facto, a Marxist revolutionary group BLM that purports to advance the cause of black folk. Most of the athletes have no idea of what's going on.

The membership of BLM is primarily white and one of the key national leaders is a former member of the Weather Underground.

Many people will simply stop watching politicized sports. At some point, the players will get to deal with pay cuts. An interesting factoid ... A&E cancelled their popular "Live PD" show and A&E's ratings have dropped about 50% as a result. Go woke, and go broke.

AND then they stood for the National Anthem. As it should be!

They took a knee BEFORE the anthem...then they all rose for the anthem...That's how you make a statement and remain respectful.
