Everyone is talking about all the cases are they COVID 19 or the variant . Have they had their shots. News give stats on how many are testing positive and hospital numbers are up but no numbers anymore on how many people have died.
We are getting all the facts.

Florida is the third most populated State after California and Texas.

Florida has received a BOATLOAD of visitors beginning to travel since the tide seemed to turn about the Virus.

I do hope that more people are living through this new attack of the Variant which is FAR more contagious.

It appears that not as many people are dying now that we have the vaccine and many older people at greater risk got jabbed.

Hoping for some good news.

Ready for a booster if the people who are in charge of health that I respect suggest it.

I agree with you. My point was sarcasm, but all the things you point out were true for the first 3 surges and we didn't make it to number one. Now we have made it, and powers are saying this is nothing special, just a seasonal situation. Denial will not solve anything.

Sorry, it annoys me that we can't have a political discussion.

Are vaccinated people back at square one; meaning if they have co-morbidities they are in danger of severe disease and dying of this Delta variant? I didn't think it was quite THAT bad because most people that are hospitalized and dying are the un-vaccinated.

You did noticethey didn't mention hospitalizations or who is getting it. What I have seen is 97% from people not vaccinated.

I think that Governor Desantis has been as fair as a person can be in his position. He needs to consider all things. It appears that the most endangered are in fact the most vaccinated in this state; the elderly are highly vaccinated at about 70% or better and they are the most at risk. Have not read any figures on recent deaths from Covid or the new Delta Variant. It does seem likely that a state that is deluged with guests and whose main industry is tourism is going to get a lot of germs that are not wanted.

I have decided to stop going to the rec center for a few days at least to try to figure out whether it is safe. I know someone who became sick with Covid after two group members at a rec center became sick and had test.

I am hoping that what we will see that the vaccinated are not getting TOO sick.

It is hard to hear and see the truth with so many clamoring voices.
