Hummm, good question, sick but true, probably at least 75% of the audience watching will be watching very closely now ! Apart for the cheap jokes, etc. isn't it sad that so many in the industry have so little self-esteem, moral fiber, belief in SOMETHING ? Just ratings, ratings, ratings. For some reason I can never get out of my mind the night we were watching Fox news, our adult children were living in St. Louis at the time, and we were following the story of the young St. Louis boy kidnapped and held hostage for several years by a pizza delivery man. Groomed, brainwashed that his parents were happy he vanished, given every kind of video game by his captor, was able to eat all the candy he wanted, just what a per-adolescent would think was great. When he finally escaped and was back with his parents, Bill O'Riley carried on and on about how the boy "probably" could have escaped years earlier, but he LIKED being a sex slave to this pervert because in return he got everything a pre-teen dreams of, stay up as late as you want, don't have to go to school, etc. Could never watch him on Fox after that, hubby used to enjoy his program, but that was "it" for us. Anyone in the media, who had no idea what Stockholm syndrome is, was just not someone we ever wanted to watch again. However, this kind of thing is definitely not limited to the Fox network, not at all !
