His biggest problem will be that Bubba(s) will believe he is the true love of their life. There are animals in prison that have committed violent and disgusting crimes, that equal or exceed his, and he will fit right in. He may even be considered a celebrity. The only ones that have problems with other prisoners are pedophiles. There are no choir boys in prison.

His lawyers will probably argue that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to house him with people who would want to kill him at the first opportunity or rape him. And a lot of eyes will be on what happens to him.

Which is why I don't believe he will last even 10 years in the prison system. Inmates and guards are not forgiving toward someone killing multiple children for no reason.

One of the most gruesome murders in Nevada history was committed around 1963 and the person who did it is still, as far as I know, in prison. The murderer went to the same high school, Earl Wooster HS, as I did in Reno and was 17 or 18 when he killed an English woman who had competed in the Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley in 1960. This was international tabloid fodder back then and is extremely disturbing to look at, still. Quite nightmarish.

It is kind of a crap shoot as to whom you will get as jurors.

I do think that we need a massive infusion of equity into our legal system. That is-- of close attention to the details in cases rather than just following the law. This man certainly deserves the death penalty.

Simple, common sense justice without the interference of politics.

Back in the 1800’s, the report of a Texas Ranger Captain on patrol with his company in the Texas Hill country read;

“Came upon 4 cattle rustlers and 14 head of stolen cattle. Final cost to the state; 6 rounds, .30 Winchester ammunition.”

The penalty for cattle rustling and horse theft was death, they were caught red-handed. No need for a trial, all that was necessary was to carry out the punishment. Vultures and Coyotes did the clean up.
