My disease is kleptomania. When do they turn off surveillance and send store detectives on break. Also would like to know if they forbid screaming kids during sensory friendly hours.

PS: I'm don't deny "global warming", its been going on for the last 20,000 years and cyclically many times before that. The "deniers" are those that are oblivious to the obvious truth--that 20,000 years of warming has nothing to do with driving your SUV.
I am VERY surprised that Walmart would be at the FOREFRONT of corporate progressive action. They may feel that it will generate invaluable public GOODWILL. And it looks like a situation where there is some upside and LITTLE downside. Those who like more stimulation when they shop can just put on their headphones for those 2 early hours.
P.S. Just heard a report on the radio about the year ending in October being the hottest recorded by scientists. And the temperature increase averaged 1.43 degrees C GREATER than the pre-industrial average. The year ending Dec 2023 is certain to be the warmest on record.

Even if it existed, the rest of the world couldn't possibly care any less.

As for Wal-Mart. Good for them. There's too much sensory overload in the world these days. I hope it helps sales and they keep it up. Not getting harassed by the AT&T Mobile booth, would be a huge plus. Oh wait, that's Sam's Club. I don't shop at Wal-Mart.
The rest of the world DOES care .....especially the coastal cities.

Let's hope we never get into a real war. I can see it now: "Sargeant, would you please tell the enemy to cut it out---their bombs are too bright and too noisy. Also, you failed to designate which foxholes are free speech zones." We are in trouble.
Walmart has chosen to do this. Why anyone would spend one second being concerned about it beyond my comprehension.

Of course, one of the most profitable businesses ever uses total sensory overload---Las Vegas casinos.
Compulsive gambling has destroyed many a family. Gambling is an industry that produces ZERO useful products. If Walmart is going in the opposite direction of Las Vegas, then more power to them.

It takes a bigger, better person to admit when they are wrong. And it IS not too terrible that someone is wrong when they do NOT have 100% of the details of some program. It is easy to reach a faulty conclusion if you do NOT have ALL the information and data points.

So Golfing Eagles....this affects you 0%! maybe you want to tell us why you hate people with Autism so much???
Maybe you want to tell me why you didn't read my subsequent posts, even AFTER I pointed it out to everyone.

Here's one of them:

Thanks for the clarification. When I saw the news article and posted , I wasn't thinking of the autistic community or their families. But you are spot on with the assessment that lower stimulation is better for the autistic---my apologies. I wish the news snippet would have given the reason for these special hours.

And here's another:

I like all three of your posts and you are exactly right. Like I stated in my subsequent post, I didn't even think of those hours as being an attempt to accommodate the autistic community. I thought it was just another corporation appeasing some idiotic woke concept to lead us further down the path to destruction. Naturally, if their motivation was to help those individuals, I'm not against it at all---it's hardly an inconvenience to anyone else.

So yes, I SUPPORT Walmart's decision

Feeling foolish yet?????

We got to see inside the mindset that led the OP to his opinion in the first place.

"Woke mentality" is bad, in his mind. He has a real problem with it. You could say, it hurts him in his feelings place. We should be more sensitive to his feelings place. Except - if we were to do that, we'd be "woke."

So nah - not giving him a pass on this. It was vile, vicious, and mean-spirited of him to even think that "wussification" was a good adjective to use for people who actually give a crap about their fellow human being. There. I'm being "unwoke." Feel better now OP? You're welcome.
You're making this TOO easy. Woke isn't "bad" in my mind, it's catastrophically terrible and destructive, which every true American already knows. Which, in turn, makes "wussification" the PERFECT adjective for idiotic woke ideas and their implementation. But thanks for throwing me a softball.

It would be nice if more people were aware of this disorder, which often masks itself as shyness or unsociability. Unfortunately, there's no cure, except for sufferers to avoid loud concerts, strobe lights, and other multi-sensory activities. Even being in a room where multiple conversations are going on, especially with music in the background, produces anxiety attacks and other physical symptoms that can be unbearable. A little understanding would be nice. Just be glad you're not one of the people who have sensory problems.
Sorry to hear about your problem. If you look at subsequent posts you'll see I support the idea---the news snippet I saw had zero explanation of the reasoning behind their new policy. Once Asian explained it, I had more information and adjusted my viewpoint. (PS: that is NOT "backpaddling

Default Ya think?

I hope the idea catches on. Do you think a restaurant would make a profit if somehow it was quiet enough to hear the person sitting next to you, and it didn't feel like the Ice Age? It'd get my business.
