That same attitude should be in place in every city in the country where the rabid animals are killing, rioting, burning and destroying everything. I cannot understand why authorities are allowing these mobs to continue to assemble.

Lots of people here with guns and when was the last time you saw a local commit a crime with a handgun?

If that’s how you want to look at it. I do what is reasonable to protect myself and my family, but it will not involve taking a life to save one.

Stand my ground and do as the Sheriff suggested if it came down to that.
If you think I'm going to go out looking for trouble, I am not, and will not. I am well prepared.
What would you do?

From my reading of studies on this statement, it was originally "thou shall not murder". I guess all the military veterans who have killed the enemy in war violated the shall not kill commandment. Jesus said sell your cloak for a sword.

Most people with a thinking mind know what is happening in America. Looter and rioters causing damage to personal and public property, people have been murdered in some of these riots, where is the outrage over this? Hard working small businessmen have had their life's work destroyed because a bunch of low life animal scum who think it is their right to steel and destroy. The supporters of this behavior who try to justify the unjustifiable show their true values and morals and are no better than the low life scum. I can guarantee if your property was destroyed you'd be singing a different song.

How many instances of that have happened in TV?

YOU do not know that!!
You are saying when all else fails you are prepared to be killed or let members of your family be killed.

Hence my comment....until you are actually confronted with that reality....you do not know.

Hypothetically one can profess all day long!!

That’s what those who want to justify killing for “the right reason” want you to believe. I believe it was thou shall not kill, period. The young men who are trained to be able to kill by those who should know better have less culpability, IMHO, but yes, that is what I believe. So the same Jesus that said to turn the other cheek said to sell your cloak for a sword? Something’s wrong with that picture, or interpretation, or translation. And I am not claiming it would be easy, what’s easy is lashing out violently in return, it’s hard to keep control and put your trust in the Creator who has your eternal life in his hands.

Perhaps. But I know it at least to the extent that those do who profess their faith in guns when faced with that situation.

All that is fine and well, but doesn't that same bible say, though shall not steal, how about looting, violence against others? Religion and war never go very well together, that's why the government allows conscious objectors.

Essentially these so called protesters have declared war against our local governments. If they had towels on their hands and names like Muhammand, they would be called terrorist. I really don't see the difference. Besides, what if you're an atheist?

You know there are 20,000 military veterans living in TV, and with the popularity of 'Shooters World' it seems many here don't share your philosophy, religious or not. This is my philosophy.

Of course, and I was just sharing mine.

I'm not knocking anyone's faith, and I'm saying that right from the start before anyone gets their panties hot.
I was actually curious because I didn't know.

What Does the Bible Say About Killing?
