Default Macy Gray. Open mouth, insert foot, then go up to knee.

Macy Gray made a suggestion that we need a new US flag. No way in #$@^ do we need a new flag. New people waving it maybe. Macy Gray Wants The U.S. Flag To Be Redesigned In Honor Of Juneteenth - YouTube

She is a great singer but once in a while a celebrity goes way too far.

Why is it that as soon as they have one scintilla of fame, these "celebrities" think they have something to contribute that anyone wants to hear. She can kiss my royal ***. If she doesn't like our nation's flag, I'm sure she could find a country whose flag is more suitable to her taste! Thanks for the heads-up. I wouldn't buy one of her albums if my life depended on it! Enough is enough!

I'm not sure why it's so offensive that anyone would be interested in changing the flag of our country. The current flag isn't the original either. It was changed from the one before it. Which was changed from the one before it. In fact, the ONLY one that was the actual "Star Spangled Banner" only had 15 stars on it. The current flag is NOT the Star Spangled Banner. So y'all are putting your hand over your hearts to worship the wrong flag when you sing the song.

The flag changes when new states are added to the country, with new stars to reflect the addition. There were two "first" American Flags: the "Betsy Ross" flag, and then the official 13-star flag. The Star Spangle Banner was a 15-star flag representing the USA from 1795-1818.

If you're not okay with someone even bringing up the notion of changing the flag, then you're not okay with the whole point of the USA - which is to enact change. If you're not okay with change, go live in a country where change isn't allowed. I hear Saudi Arabia is lovely this time of year.

The only thing that has changed on our flag is the number of stars. The red and white stripes and the blue field the stars are on has not changed in color or shape.

Change isn't always good.

I served in the Army for almost 21 years supporting that flag and what it stands for. Too many good people, friends and fellow veterans, have died for that flag and any mention or act of disrespecting it makes my blood boil. If YOU don't like the way our flag looks take your sorry behind out of this country and find one that doesn't care about it's national flag.

Recently listed as a failed no name performer....that most have never heard of...all of a sudden she gains the spot light because the media knows if it bleeds it leads or even better if it is something stupid but capable of generating controversy then they go to press. Just another confirmation of the shallow, requirements for reporting.

Not deserving of the keystrokes invested!!!!

While the flag has changed over time, the meaning of the flag has not. The stars represent the states so it only makes sense that as states are added so are stars to represent those states. The 13 stripes representing the 13 colonies have not changed nor have the red, white, and blue colors. The meaning of the flag has not changed.

Macy Gray needs to study her history a bit more. If she wants more stars on the flag then she should make an argument for at least 56 and rather than 52. Better yet, she should acknowledge the limits of her knowledge and do more research before embarrassing herself.

I'm just not a flag person. Perhaps it's my Jewish upbringing. But we were indoctrinated as children to never worship "things." I don't pay respects to flags, or any other inanimate object. I don't kneel to pray, I didn't kneel when I got married, we don't kneel in synagogue except when we invoke the Lord's name in a very specific invocation. And we don't worship or revere things.

I love my country. The flag, I'm just ambivalent about. Seeing tons of flags flying doesn't stir me to patriotism, and seeing them missing doesn't make me feel any less love for the USA. I don't need a flag of ANY kind to love America.

Who does this stupid Bimbo think fought the Confederacy to end slavery? It was the Union Army and it cost over 600,000 Union deaths to achieve freedom for the slaves. Hey dumb Bimbo, what flag did they carry into battle? Hint, it wasn't the Stars and Bars.

What she wants might be very silly (and it is, in my opinion). But it's nothing worth getting all hot and bothered over. It's just cloth, and it isn't going to change just because someone thinks a different design would be nicer.

You pay homage to the flag because of what it stands for. Do you not respect and revere the Star of David?
