Default Martial Law

It’s time for the President to declare Martial Law in the Nation. These riots and the looting is now out of control. It will not end anytime soon without drastic action by the Federal Government. Hate to see this but I believe it’s reality!

Why should the entire nation be brought under martial law when the violations are to specific areas.....not affecting most of the country.

You have bought into what the media and special interest groups are selling!!

Thumbs up Mean what you say

My grandfather who passed away at the age of 102 had been a county sheriff in 1900 at the turn of the century. I was talking to him when he was 100 and asked him if he ever shot anyone? His answer was no as in those days when we said we would shoot you we darn well shot you and no one wanted to be shot. He did go into a large group of strikers to arrest one and he put 2 deputies on a cliff overlooking the strikers and said if anyone touched him the deputies were under orders to shoot that person. No striker touched him.
He was the kindness person I ever met and well respected as a Sheriff and lived by the rule of law!

No I doubt that. Just my opinion. You don’t want people to have opinions that are not in line with yours!

And my father was a union organizer in the 1930’s all over country where sheriffs would beat , shoot and arrest working men for trying to make a better look fe for themselves, and my mom being sprayed with a firehouse and arrested in Alabama for marching peacefully for justice

I used to surf at San Onofre beach with James Arness, who played Matt Dillon. He was a big guy, 6' 7" and had a supertanker of a surfboard, 12 feet long. When he paddled for a wave he actually created a wake, us kiddies learned to stay out of his way.

You can still edit the title to correct the spelling. Click the EDIT button then click "GO ADVANCED" to edit the title.

Thumbs down Regarding Striking

If the striking is civil and not violent then it is lawful and to be commended for being peaceful. I did not want to get too far into it but the striker my grandfather was arresting was for murder during the riot. And I would defend my grandfather's right to protect
himself with "backup". One of the problems we are having with these rioters is their criminal acts of killing or harming peaceful people trying to defend their right to peace.

Since there isn't any deterrent to rioting I guess we just wait for nothing left to burn down??? No more loot for the looters to steal? No more law abiding people to beat up?? I don't know if martial law can be enacted by specific location but I would be for that..

Attachment 84353

interesting story about James Arness, thanks for sharing. Glad to hear that he was that active in his private life

I had understood that all during the filming of Gunsmoke he was in much pain from an injury and that he couldn't stand or walk for any sustained length of time

That's why Matt was always seen in his office or leaning up against the bar in the saloon and Dennis Weaver had to come running with a limp yelling "Mr. Dillon, Mr. Dillon!"... then the cameras moved on to the next scene shot
