That is because their “charter” is anti capitalism, anti police and anti America. I can get behind black lives mattering ( when they aren’t resisting police) but not BLM. They march against capitalism all over the world.

I guess you haven’t noticed all the people and politicians wanting to eliminate the police.

Not to mention all the anti cop activity (throwing gasoline on their cars and burning them, ambushing theM, shining green lasers in their eyes, etc) and rhetoric. How about supporting the police while defunding them.

It is my understanding that the social worker would not be going alone as you suggest but with the police

Diverting funds from the police is defending the police! Duh

My bet is that they will ARM themselves as provided for in the 2nd amendment.

BLM will be going there next week to fix the problem.

I have my social worker on speed dial. I will grab my phone and call her right after I put my pistol back in the holster.

I guess you missed what is meant to defund the police. The defunded money is to go to the programs you mentioned.

"911 What is your emergency". "My boyfriend is threatening to kill me. I don't know if he's serious, or having a mental crisis. Please send help". "Shall we send the police or a social worker"? "First you must release us from liability. If we send a social worker and your boyfriend winds up hurting or killing you we cannot be sued by you or a family member".
Using people trained in social issues would be great, however, who decides when that is the appropriate course of action? Last I heard there are no mind readers. No one knows the extent of the problem until they get there. Ever heard of the saying, "hope for the best but be prepared for the worst". Unfortunately, being prepared for the worst means sending those "gun toting, skittish police".

Unbelievable how inconsiderate and have no compassion for others , living right here in our community. We get your message, you don’t care . Thanks for taking the time and posting the horrific statistics in Chicago .
