Assumptions about killing in Chicago
 

The assumption is that it is all drug related and may not be so. The statistics indicate that minorities are the vast majority of the victims die at the hands of criminals not the police. And, in fact, many cities have already defunded the police, who by the way are better trained than most people in dealing with potentially violent criminals. I will like to see your comments when social workers start being killed in their trained capacities in “social issues.”

I shop for my neighbors- take people to MD appts- have weeded a yard when their away for summer- I’ve been a friend listening to their stories and problems- I give back with a yearly village party to keep people together- I have volunteered my whole life- in a hospital for Girl Scouts , big brother / big sister( 4 black children my kids) I smile and don’t throw bricks at a store I don’t like- I support my community. I could go on but these things everybody can do and most of the people reading this already do.

In the next chicago election a ballot resolution shall be voted upon by the residents of chicago to accept or reject the offer of living under martial law while the troops end the drug war and shootings of its citizens. With the citizenry rights protected they will be free to tip off the locations of the drug dens and occupants and stop the flow of weapons and drugs into their neighborhoods.

Hard to believe but Chicago was 25th in the murder rate in 2019. St. Louis, Memphis, Detroit and others were higher then the Windy City.

That's a crazy stat.

This was right on point and I totally agree. Most people don’t Even know what defund the police means!

Gun control? You’re kidding as Chicago has a ban on handguns! but as always there will always be a supply for criminals, the bad guys always have guns and shoot each other up! No matter how hard you try to correct this you cannot! It is their upbringing and have either no father in their household or someone to show them the right way and be educated!

Shows the leadership of that city is sorely lacking !
