Default SSA Slam the Scam Day

Did anyone else receive an email today from the Social Security Administration advertising their Slam the Scam Day, March 7, 2024? The email appears to be legitimate, even though it contains several links to click on, while the SSA.GOV website clearly advises you to never click on an email link. Go figure.

I think that reporting scams and fraud to Federal agencies is a waste of time because they already know about the scams and fraud, and they don't have the staff or the inclination to do anything substantial about it. Any Federal office created to reduce fraud will spend more taxpayer money than it will save in fraud reduction. This SSA Slam the Scam Day is an advertising gimmick to make uninformed people think that the agency is actually doing something to reduce fraud. My opinion.
