I thought I'd never stop watching the NFL. But I did for 2 years, right after that San Francisco piece of human garbage took a knee to our national anthem and wasn't immediately fired and escorted off the field.

I would never call a human garbage. The kneeling was his choice. I will continue to follow the NFL and I do not care who takes a knee.

Insurrectionists used the American flag to beat a cop almost to death, and most never said a word. An athlete peacefully protests by taking a knee and a certain group of individuals are outraged.

Interesting - there is a name for folks like that

For the first group, the names are: criminal, felons, disgusting garbage
For the athlete: the name is just disgusting garbage

For all of them: Unpatriotic, Un-American

I won't be watching the commie olympics and stopped watching NFL when they started kneeling. Never have watched NBA.
Just a bunch of overgrown big spoiled babies.

My Dad thought his career was going the wrong way he wanted to so he did that to make up for it.

To me he looks like a person who cares about the rights of a group of people and how they were treated over a long period of time. I am biased as we both went to the University of Nevada, Reno but he was there about twenty-five years after I was.

The Olympics are SUPPOSED to bring people together. I am NOT afraid to hear the opinions of these talented athletes - they are often our future leaders.

I do NOT believe that college athletes should get paid. Amateurism is a good thing. The overall problem is that the US has a weaker middle class that can support amateurism today than in the past. That affects everything.

Many have that same highly charged emotional response to an action that many others considered just an expression of free speech. In a country (the US) which celebrates, brags about, and denigrates OTHER countries for their lack of free speech, it IS strange and even inconceivable for Americans to find fault with free speech - no matter the situation! Saudi Arabia and Russia have used this example to show that America is two-faced and situational about its greatest, world-leading principles.

I have no problem with his right to free speech and I have no problem with him exercising his right to take a knee.
However, his action was despicable, and that is why he is human garbage.
With that action comes consequences, and IMHO he did not suffer enough nor quick enough

When you understand the difference between the GOVERNMENT restricting your speech and the general public not liking what you're saying, get back to me...

This is a sad but probably necessary measure.
Then, what’s the point? All about cash? O wait TV. Web. And sponsor’s. Even since the dirty laundry came out at Atlanta Olympic’s, it’s all about greed.
