But even on the last two I mention, I cannot reach the venom that is becoming the norm on this forum
We have just been here for just over 4 months and overwhelming we have found good folks to be living here. Put 125,000 people in one place and you will get some bad apples just think they post in here.

You are correct.

I deleted my last post because I was becoming what I do not like. A judge.

I have 20 years here now. Love it and love my neighbors. I am not happy with the attitude that has invaded this forum (on which I have posted for 13years)

The Husband and wife shouting White Power are both guilty Of behavior unbecoming of a villager. Their neighbors must love having them in their neighborhood. America’s Friendliest hometown, give me a break seeing these old fools in their golf carts and cars with all their foolish signs are disgraceful and ludicrous and makes them look like white trailer trash.
I thought this was my slice of happiness but I’m thinking moving here was a huge mistake. 10 years ago this was a much different place. In the past couple of years it’s become a community of misfits.

Are you a Redskin fan? What part of the Gulf coast are you coming from? I'm a Ravens fan, I was at their first game n 1996 at Memorial Stadium, but grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. (St. Pete High School '68).

Been here 9 years July 5th. I wouldn't live anywhere else but here. If you think this is bad, just imagine the real world where people have to work for living and can't find a job right now. Young people all around, rioting, protesting, looting, killing, and two old ladies yelling at men in golf carts and they yell back, that is scary? Don't leave the compound!!

I've been a longtime Redskins fans but my husband and kids have their own teams. Long story short, we don't watch too many Skin's games these days but I will always have a soft spot for them. We've never gotten into the Ravens but we are definitely a family of Nationals baseball fans. We're in NW Florida close to Navarre Beach/Gulf Breeze. We've driven by St Petersburg before on our way to Anna Maria Island which is one of my favorite places to be in Florida so far. I like that TV is only a couple of hours away from Anna Maria island - I can see us taking advantage of the proximity on a regular basis.

In the meantime, we're enjoying the beautiful beaches in our neck of the woods and I am grateful to be living in Florida now in spite of this stupid virus (Covid-19 Please Go Away!).

I know what you mean, I might not watch much NFL this year, depends on how this kneeling thing goes, plus the skins haven't exactly been a powerhouse. Also, I use to live in Pensacola, my best friend from the Army and working in Pensacola lives in Navarre, his name is Dean Trosper and he lives on Emma Way, you wouldn't have known him would you? I know it's long shot, but who knows.

They made Jaws 2 at Navarre Beach in '78 and the crew stayed at the Holiday Inn Holidome on the beach and I watched some of filming and saw the sharks. The hotel was 7 stories high and got destroyed in a hurricane in 1995.

I feel the same way. When I lived in the DC area we often had the presidential motorcade come into nearby areas. Once I was at a restaurant and the Secret Service came in while my friend and I were just beginning to look at the menu. A waiter warned us that if we stayed there to eat we would be there for awhile because the president was coming. I had kids to pick up within the hour so I had to hurry up and get out of there. I was not a big fan of that particular president but meeting him would have been an honor all the same.

That said, a simple golf cart parade isn't going to be enough to rattle my cage. I would never stand on the sidelines giving a Biden golf cart parade the stink eye. It bothers me to see so called "protesters" (either side) being so uncivil to others. That's the sort of stuff that I would like to see cracked down on.

No, I haven't met your friend but I do love Navarre Beach. It's beautiful but it has also been discovered. There was a time when it was a best kept secret from what I understand. We do enjoy it here.

The lady on the video using the F Bomb at her neighbor in the golf cart sure did not represent Florida's Friendliest Hometown. She was pretty disgraceful.

I'd be happy to. I had 2 friends ask me what the heck was going on in The Villages (neither lives here). I sent both of them a link to the ENTIRE video.
After watching that both couldn't believe how disgusting and aggressive that woman was.
They totally changed their opinion of the news article.
SO... the whole truth showed an accurate view of what happened.

So do you think the woman shouting "Nazi and Fu@k Trump" should be the poster child for The VIllages?
I don't think either side should be proud of this video.

The guy yelling "white power" - sadly - does represent a very loud minority of the VIllages. Yes they're the minority - the people with that attitude. But they're loud. And they're now national news thanks to a single tweet by the country's leader.
