I am of Irish descent and proud of it. Imagine if we didn't have drunk Irish jokes. There would be no laughter.

I completely realize that the Black Lives Matter movement is very important.

Many things need to change but we do all need to be able to laugh at ourselves.

Hopefully we will not be losing our right to free speech.

Yes - I'm originally from Chicago - POLISH jokes galore. Italian jokes, same, I'd guess you name a 'descent' and jokes abound. Same for religion. Those comments/jokes etc are still fine, BUT...

It's sad we seem to now need an "OFFENSIVE FILTER" for everything we say, joke, link to on the Net, comment, etc etc. One main reason we DO NOT have Alexa in our home...who knows...

Scary times we do need to stop taking "everything" so seriously.

635,000 Civil War casualities weren't enough?? As to BLM, read their Manifesto. It is a self proclaimed Marxist organization. Many companies are doing what Lenin
proclaimed, "They will sell us the rope we will use to hang them". No money to BLM but all money to help School Choice, internships, improving neighborhoods. And while we're at it, end the ridiculous requirement that if you're on welfare, you can't have a male in the house. That alone was the major cause of breaking up families and the rise in out of wedlock births.

Where is there a list of words and phrases that are considered offensive? It seems to be changing rapidly and I would like to know if I happen to use one by accident.

Thank you! English is my 3rd language and I have been known to use some of these words in their literary meaning. I am surprised about Taffy. My in-laws were from Wales and called their golden retriever Taffy.

THIS I DO find offensive>

Oh no, now no Dixie cups or creamsicles. What next. This is just becoming a joke. How can you take any of this seriously with all this nonsense going on. Removing all history, good or bad, isn’t the answer.

I heard some RE sales outfit is no longer going to refer to master bedrooms and master bathrooms as such, taking "master" out of their inventory of descriptors.
