after ALL these months of COVID19 - yet again Fauci & Co

and the LATEST from Fauci....

Dr. Fauci suggests we add goggles to our personal protective gear

July 30, 2020 at 8:38 am EDT

It might be time to add one more thing to your list of "how to protect yourself from coronavirus."

Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested Wednesday that Americans should consider wearing goggles or a face shield now.

He noted they are not "universally recommended" at this point, but "if you really want to be complete, you should probably use it if you can."

Currently, the U.S. is the worst-affected country, with more than 4.3 million diagnosed cases and over 150,000 deaths.

The nation’s top infectious disease specialist also told ABC News that people definitely need to get the flu vaccine this fall because it’s going to get very tricky with COVID-19 and the flu having such similar symptoms.

Better safe than dead.
Listen to the experts like Fauci, not the pretenders out there who think they know something.

OP was being funny with the guy wearing a rubber but wearing glasses is not a half bad thing to do along with your mask. I wear sunglasses all of the time outside but I think if anyone is the designated "shopper" or the "out" person or the "purchasing agent" for the house that wearing glasses is a good thing.

Right behind your pretty eyes is your brain and it I wouldn't want one of those pieces of Covid-19 to get in my body through my eyes.

Why NOT. I don't want it. Most people do not.

I keep thinking about how people don't take Charles Darwin and his "Survival of the Fittest" seriously enough.

There is a TEST. It is now and it is not good if you fail it.

Stay safe y'all.

I have been wearing my eyeglasses whenever I enter an enclosed place with 5 or more people since starting to wear a face mask when the Corona Virus started infecting people in a large scale. If someone coughs in your direction it could get in your eyes.

I do not wear the face mask and glasses when in open spaces like at the dog park but do keep close track of where I touch and wash my hands a lot when water is available.

Nothing new about wearing eye protection.
It has been recommended since day one.

Probably a reporter happen to have white space to fill and decided to focus on it.

It is just as simple as that!!!

I wear eyeglasses which likely provide me some protection from airborne Wuhan virus. I do remove and wash them whenever I return from an errand taking me into a public building.

Next the experts will recommend yellow, one piece biohazard suits. Then they'll all have a good laugh because they got us all to look like minions.

I agree.

Take medical advice from those who studied and practice medicine.....NOT political folks. (or witch doctors)

I wear googles often, my eyes tear up when chopping onions, dust or insects etc when riding my bike, swimming under water etc. No problem for Covid. I appreciate DrFauci sharing new ideas.

The few public places that we do go to I'm wearing my glasses...however I suspect that wearing a mask, truly practicing social distance and avoiding places where people are not doing that are really the key things (and yes, using sanitizers when returning to the car and washing our hands upon returning home)

some of this is as simple as changing our own behavior

I now wait for folks to leave the onion bin at the store before I select the onions I need...I wait for the person checking every package of chicken to move before I select mine...etc. and we go at the 'off times' to food shop

when I see someone without a mask at the grocery store...I stay away from them

sometimes applying just a little common sense goes a long way

In May a virologist (DR. Fair" who was a regular contributor on TV), contracted covid on a commercial airplane flight. He stated he was masked the entire flight and stated he believed he contracted the virus through his eyes.

Doctor With COVID-19 Believes He Got It Through His Eyes - YouTube

So it's not really some new theory.

So... do my contact lenses count as goggles?

Just kidding.

A reporter was there when Dr Fauci answered the question yesterday

"“Theoretically you should protect all of the mucosal surfaces [eyes, nose, mouth], so if you have goggles or an eye shield, you should use it,” he said in an interview with ABC News on Instagram Wednesday."

Everything is not worthy of sarcasm and everything is not some conspiracy to get someone. We do have some honest and trustworthy folks in government.

The media does not make up news as you might think...they report what our "leaders" say and do.
