Default Replacing light and fan switches to dimmers and fan controls

Looking to replace existing overhead light switches with dimmers and fan switches with fan controls (low, medium and high). Any info appreciated, thanks.

Here's a link to how to install a dimmer switch. It's really a pretty easy DIY job.
Just pick up a dimmer switch from Home Depot.

Just be sure to buy a dimmer with an adequate rating for the appliance. Too small, and it will create excessive heat.

If you're using a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL), make sure you get one that is labeled as “dimmable.” Ordinary CFLs will not work with a dimmer.
