does anyone know of a coating to fill in cracks on vinyl windows? I've heard of some resurfacer that I can squeegee on and scratches disappear.

Try contacting the builder. When I bought my home two years ago I had scratches on just about every frame. Of course the windows were still under warranty and were repaired. You can't tell there were ever any scratches! I am sure the builder can give you the name of a product. Give it a try! Or ask someone at Home Depot. Good luck!

The Harley shop at LSL Market Square sells a product called NOVUS which is specifically made for removing scratches from motor cycle windshields. There was a thread running here sometime ago about using it for golf cart windshields. On the front of the container it states "Restores Original Appearance to Plastics".
