That's what the I'm writing about is a clicker. Just trying to help and save someone from spending money. Better to try than not to try.

I bought an extra remote from Amazon and followed the instructions in the manual for programming it, using the + and - settings. It worked. See post #13.

Programming Remote
I have 2 new MVP 190-110925 garage remotes along with the manual which I have read 3 times. I don't understand what constitutes a number when I press the buttons in order to enter a code. Can someone explain that? And, how can I make sure this code will work with the opener motor inside the garage. And, will I have to change the program codes on the 2 remotes I already have.
Please understand that I am reasonably techy so this shouldn't be beyond me. Thanks.

Post number 12 above by salpal gives the link to the MVP manual. Starting on page 11, shows how to program your system. You will need to be in the garage, pointing the remote at the overhead unit in order to sync the codes that youare programming. With MVP, no numbers involved. Just nine random buttons to create a code ( pick a code beforehand and write it down) Example ++000--0+
Hope this helps. By the way, the original thread is almost a year old. |
