Default Briarwood Exec

Our foursome played Briarwood today . One in the group was celebrating his 90th B-Day !

The course was in outstanding shape ! The greens were perfect, the tee boxes were perfect and the rest of the course (fairways, collars around the greens, etc) were in very good shape !

Not one green had any damage and the speed was medium to medium-fast ….

Whoever is maintaining this course deserves to be commended and perhaps commissioned to give some instruction to the maintenance crews that have failed in properly maintaining their own courses !!

My “report card” rating would be an A…….

Briarwood and the other exec’s around there plus Lopez, Glenview, Hacienda, and Tierra Championships in good shape. Just proves El Niño did’t get north of 466!

Ain’t that the truth !! Playing Amberwood on Wednesday and the conditions there should be great as well .

As a side note , I remembered that The Villages had done a “report card” rating and decided to look at it after I posted …. Not surprised that they gave it an “A” as well !

As I understand it Briarwood underwent a renovation this past fall, re-opening as I recall this past January. It was in pretty good shape before the renovation. Given those two things plus the fact that, being closed, it did not have constant player traffic for months, probably determines it's present condition.

I agree though. It is an attractive course currently in very good shape.
