Default De La Vista

Played De La Vista today with a couple of friends .

Overall, the course is in good shape . Most of the tee boxes and greens were in decent shape.

A couple of the greens showed some damage around the edge. I can’t verify this but I think the damage might have been caused by sand cranes digging for food . Thankfully, that doesn’t happen often on the greens.

My only real criticism is that the course is riddled with weeds in a lot of places and bare spots adjacent to some of the tee boxes .

I would give this course a B rating…..

Haven't played it since its "facelift". I do like it though.

On the other side of the coin I just got home from El Diablo. Greens are pretty nice but several have long grass sprouting around them. If you don't hit the green on the fly you're SOL...won't be rolling any on. Some of the fairways have horrendous weed patches in them: #9 in particular.

One of the things I like about De La Vista is that they have 2 par 4 ‘s . That’s nice .

Thanks for mentioning El Diablo….

Can't find any info on course closures due to yesterday's rain.
