Played Palmetto yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised !

It’s in great condition . Tee boxes and fairways on the 2 par four holes were in excellent condition .

The greens were in great shape, medium speed and they all had nice plush collar around them that have you a fighting chance of hitting a nice chip .

I would rate it a 9 out of 10

Friends played it and said the greens were still in poor shape.

I would suggest to your friends to go have their eyes examined !! LOL !

If they honestly feel that those greens are in bad shape , I can tell you one thing for certain. That is, there would be no pleasing them anywhere !!

How long will it stay that way? Palmetto seems to get shut down every year for a rehab. Yesterday I saw four players in a group with four carts. Tell me that amount of traffic doesn't damage the par 4s.

Can’t answer that question. But what I can tell you is that as of this moment , the fairways on the two par 4’s are in great condition…. Not as good at Glenview’s Championship Course but pretty close to that . I do agree that the “two cart” rule should be enforced if the rule qualifies for the restriction…..

Agree 100%. Played there last week and we all thought it was in great shape. Greens were excellent.
