Am I wrong?
And soon there will be no Ambassadors.

Bingo, there’s your answer. The problem is proper maintenance, not the amount of play. When you transfer the best maintenance staff to where all the new homes are being built, guess where the better conditions will be?

It's official, Turtle Mound, Redfish Run and Roosevelt are the next Executive golf courses to be fully renovated. The greens are old and diseased.

They used TifGrand on Pelican, Hilltop and Chula Vista. That grass grows like crazy. I was told they will verticut them more often. It may be a superior grass in the winter months. We will find out. So far TifGrand is a thumbs down by my golfing buddies. Belmont, Churchill, Pimlico, Amberwood and Briarwood all have TifEagle and they are perfect. Bacall, Bogart and Bonita Pass should be open pretty soon. The new renovated greens all have greens that are renovated according to USGA specifications. New drainage, two feet of gravel and then 10 inches of sand and soil. All the sand traps have not only new sand, but new drainage. Lots of new Zoysia around the greens.
