I did something I never thought I would do in a million years and had my brows done. I went to Cal's in December, then had the touchup done a couple of days ago. Shari did an EXCELLENT job, but I was VERY particular about it all, because they are MY brows that I will have to live with. My good friends didn't notice, when I told my daughters I had a 2 tattoos, they kept asking "where, where"? My husband still doesn't know. Therefore, all is well, and a complete success. Love them!

Default Horrors!

I have a good friend who recently had her eyebrows done. She is naturally a very pretty gal and I never noticed a problem with her brows. But NOW....they stick out like a sore thumb. When I'm talking to her, I have to concentrate NOT to look at her brows. You couldn't pay me enough to have my brows done. But I do have my bangs covering my brows.....most of the time.

I love Making Faces in Summerfield. Judy is a true professional. Had my eyebrows and eyeliner done about 2 months ago, went for touchup today. Love the way I look. Did not touch up eyebrows because I love them the way they are. Her prices are also way better than the others.

I'd love to have this done. But I find it really scary, that there is such a wide range of comments. From "I love it" to "I look like a clown".

Why do you think that opinions vary so much!

I'm with you Bare -wish the person who hates hers and thinks she looks like a clown would post pictures. It is scary 'cause it is permanent!

Gomoho, that's exactly what I thought. I also wish she would post pictures .... perhaps it isn't as clownish as she thinks? Or maybe she is busy growing out her bangs. I would be.

I wish someone who had their eyebrows successfully enhanced would attend the next Crispers luncheon. That would be a drawing card for sure!!

Dina at SS Cal's has had her's done. She told me several there have had it...and it doesn't hurt like one would think. I will say that Dina's look very, very natural!

I have considered having my eyebrows done and this thread ALMOST convinced me to go to Cals in SS. But the I found this website with before and after pictures and I got scared again. A lot of these people looked better before. IMO.
It seems like the permanent eyebrows are way too dark in most cases. It's about 4 minutes. Click the arrows on the bottom right when faces appear to enlarge for more details.

Look around you. You will see lots of tattooed eyebrows. They are noticeable. I see them everywhere I go.` They look too dark when first done and then fade and look more natural. I almost told my friend that she put on too much eyebrow pencil and then she told me she had a tattoo. I had never heard of it before, but now I frequently see them. Not for me, however.

My sister in law had hers done about 18 years ago. They looking a purplish blue, especially when in the daylight. She has had them "enhanced" over the years....but they still look blue. She has black died hair. She will have a very unnatural look if she ever decides to let her hair go to its natural color. I'm gonna assume that the quality and technology has improved since then, but I don't get why they can't get a more natural color on hers. Hers is very crass looking with tattooed eyeliner (very thick), tattooed bright red lips, eyelashes,....even the top eyeliner covers her whole lid. I could go on and on about the Brazilian facelift and all the liposuction and implants...but I won't.

Bottom line ladies......what I am basically saying is.....don't go overboard and don't forget, it really is permanent. If you decide to let your hair go natural...you will still have the dark brows. Everyone is different and I'm sure whatever you decide is the right decision for you.
