Default Kids fishing

Is there a place here in the Villages where I can take my young grandson to fish and actually catch fish? I see all the fishing sites but what is the best to take actually catch a fish or two? He has the attention span of a six year old.

Not sure about The Villages per se......however, perhaps this will help if you don't mind a short ride to Lake Weir, etc.

Lake Weir, Florida Fishing Report - Fishing notes

Keep scrolling down on the page for the various types of fish to be caught.

(It's located immediately ABOVE The Villages, north of T.V.)

http://weir.lakesonline.com/

This website has more particulars on Lake Weir fishing.

Plus if you take a look at the right side , you will notice a list of all the local lakes not too far from The Villages.

The Chain of Lakes, etc, etc..............however, not sure if you wish to drive that far.

Happy fishing !

Ocean fishing is a little over an hour's drive at Sebastian Inlet or any of the barrier islands fishing piers, both on the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal waterway / Indian River Lagoon.............

I actually found a charter boat that goes out of Port Canaveral on the east coast.....that goes for SHARK. Now, who wouldn't like to catch JAWS????? They also have night time charters in the heat of the summer. We have that lined up for our grandson and his sister. School aged kids. They loved fishing in Maine on a charter boat and off the rocks into the bold open ocean. Being with grandpa made it special.

Little grandsons and grand daughters do love to fish, as do their grandpas................good luck fishing; have fun.
