Default fresh water fish

As a lifelong resident of Fl I remember when fresh water fish were great to eat...Unfortunately I have found that is no longer the case..I believe it is due to lead poisening that occurs quite frequently in Florida's fresh water..As far as eating Largemouth Bass is concerned they are extremely bony, with very little edible meat on them and they have to be almost to reproductive age before there is any at all..That klills off future generations..There is really no reason to keep this species..Speckled perch is another matter..Even though there is very little available meat they taste great and are plentiful, in larger lakes than here in the Villages..Still have lead though..

Any idea on how you can get someone to stock a pond on the golf course?

I believe they only stock ponds you can fish in. You can not fish in the ponds on the golf courses as for as I know.
