Merry Christmas from the Villages
The line at the "new" postal station is out the door and seems to be open from noon to 6.
If you plan to buy a place in the villages stop by the new Hacienda mail station and talk with the people waiting line about the developer. |

Not a venue where you will get unified and unconditional support for the developer after they tore down the clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop, pool, tennis courts, etc…. at Hacienda Hills. The renovations to the postal station are being paid for by the developer. That’s what the developer used as leverage to get the AAC (Amenity Authority Committee) to sell out the residents north of 466 by granting an additional 300 amenity rights so apartments can be built that offer the apartment dwellers use of amenities.

Waiting in line is the least of the problems. Was there Wednesday and fellow behind me was grousing about the safety and not 5 minutes later a cart was broadsided at the entrance with Morse by an exiting car.
VERY dangerous setup and it has only just begun. Already one of the worst areas for traffic mixing with carts and will only get worse with the closing of the cart tunnel. Planners need a re-think on traffic control before someone IS killed. |

Bad situation all around. Lines to pick up your mail. Mail only available during certain hours. The people working there were not postal people, but Community Watch personnel (on Tuesday anyway - could have changed since then). A large construction truck carrying sod pulled into the parking lot early this morning from Morse Blvd. - blocked traffic for five minutes, and I'm afraid this will be the norm when construction starts for real.

Hope this does not pan out, but not optimistic. So far it now has been a cluster(you know what). 2 entrance blockaded which can not be seen at night.
