Thank You for the kind words. Many of these LED fireplaces are just for ambience. Have done a few that have had heat. Here in Florida might be used a few time in the winter months.

For the fireplace, how deep does the wall need to be roughly?

Most of the fireplaces are 4-5" in depth. If you get one that has heater the can be 7-8". Most of the consoles we build are 11" deep usually there are columns on one side or the other so we build the out to that depth. Thank You for the inquiry.
