How do you tell what year golf cart is? I have a Yamaha, used

If the serial # starts with JW8 then the 1st # after the dash is the X in the following: 201X
My serial is JW8-4yyyyy so mine is a 2014.

JW8-200101 2012.5
JW8-100101 2012
JW8-000101 2011

Yes, but that doesn't have any years after 2013.
