I have a 2011 Yamaha battery cart. 8 batteries. Looking for advice about replacement. Cart hasn't been used in 2 years. It will have limited use, 2-3 times, over the next year.

Look them up, they also advertise in the Sun. You will need a battery tender if you are not using the cart very much. I would suggest getting a gas cart if you are using so infrequently, or have a neighbor run it around periodically. For a gas cart you would still need a battery tender, but for a single 12 V battery this is fairly inexpensive. Put gas stabilizing fluid in the tank.

. We get our batt replacements from Battery Boys - the BEST and most reliable around. We have a Tomberlin elec cart and plan to keep it forever, worth the 3-4 yr investment in new batts for US. Your situation... if you plan to use the cart even 6 times over the next year - new batteries (IMO) would be a horrible investment. Batt prices have increased so much the last few years. 8 six-volt batts would cost around $1,300. 8 Trojan T-605 105min/75amps 210Ah $1,331.08 If the batts last 4 years, even with excellent charging routine, that's about $55 per cart use based on 6X per year. IMO it would be much better to sell the cart and rent a cart for the times you would want to drive one. . .

Your declared usage doesn’t justify owning a golf cart. Whether it be a gas or electric. Battery replacement will be $600 to $800. Using it 2-3 times in a year just rent a cart and sell your cart.

I believe sales of Chevy Bolts (new ones) are currently stopped because the battery packs are being recalled.
