Default Bombardier golf cart nev questions

Trying to help an elderly neighbor. She has a Bombardier Golf Cart which we will put new batteries in as it is not running. Anyone know anything about these carts? Called a few golf cart stores and they knew nothing. It is in beautiful flawless condition aesthetically. I would like to get it running for her but first want to know if it is worth the investment on the batteries. Anyone know the value of such a cart? Or anything about them? Thanks!

This forum has some info, but it doesn't sound real promising.

We have installed batteries in Bambedier cart, aside of the cost of the batteries the install
Is remarkable. The body lifts up and off the car to revail the battery pack. I would estimate cost to be $1,400 to $1,600 depending on the corrosion in the battery compartment dissasembley and instalation.

Or you could always google them and they will likely have a website and contact info to help you out.

I did a lot of "googling" before I posted. The Bombardier NEV(Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) is actually, my mistake, not a golf car but an electric car made in Canada between 97-99. It is no longer made but a company in Michigan sells the part which they bought out from the Canadian company. The vehicle is pristine. I am going to see if it is worth putting in new batteries and selling it for her. The car is adorable. Almost like a golf cart but no where I do not think to put golf clubs. I am going back to look at it today. Maybe I will post pictures.

If it is not classified as a golf car it might not be legal on the trails or golf course. I would suggest asking the appropriate authorities here just to be certain and before spending any $$$

As for you googling before asking here it's always better to let folks know the problem and what you have done to that point so you don't get inundated with old info.
