In the summertime the discount is only $10.00 per couple. Assuming you played twice a week in the summertime, from 5/1 to 9/30 you would save $200.00 That reduces the actual annual savings with the priority memberships. A couple would have to play the country clubs twice a week all year long to save on green fees. There is no discount for golf carts but I assume everyone uses their own golf cart and pays a $5.00 trail fee.

Did I miss something or is there any other advantage to priority memberships other than having free access to the country club pools?
The Priority membership covers golf cart trail fees on executive courses and as Bogie points out below, no trail fee on championship courses..

Would love to ask a variety of questions on the Country Clubs. Please provide a phone number we can call.

No trail fee on the Champ's.

I have always chuckled at the tag line line free membership at all of our country clubs in the commercial
What exactly does this free membership entitle us to? From what I understand any member of the general public can play on our "country clubs". Do we get a lower rate if we don't have the priority membership?

It is my understanding that, without a priority membership, Villages residents are given a 10% discount compared to the rate a member of the general public would pay.

The General Public cannot play our "Country Clubs" unless they are a guest of a resident (need guest pass to get a better rate than just a guest of member) or have a transferred residential status because they are renting.

Priority members get preferred tee times.

This is a plus, especially during the winter season when the courses are very busy.

Except on par fours. And all people with handicap stickers can drive the course.

That is not correct. The championship courses are open to the general public. That being said, non-owners will be at the bottom of the totem pole as far as getting a t-time. Basically, non-owners would get whatever t-times are left after all others are assigned.

No one is debating that. I do have a question however. Is it possible to play eighteen holes of golf every day on the executive courses.

Free Golf for Life is a pretty wide open term. How often can you play? How many holes can you play? If you go and use a practice putting green, have played golf for free that day? If you are allowed to play once a month or once a week at no charge does that cover the Free golf for life?

I no longer play golf, but I understand that it can be very difficult to get tee times in the winter months. There is some kind of point system that limits the amount that you can play.

I was kicked once this last season on the executive courses. My husband was not denied at all with Priority membership and playing three times a week on Championship courses. (This was in the last four months during the high season) He said he didn't always get his first time slot asked for.

I don't do it all the time but one time we played Hawke's Bay and after a coffee at Dunk's we walked on and played Saddlebrook. If you can stand the heat of mid day summer you can pretty much walk on. I've used putting greens on days I play or not.
