Default Well not said

Bobby Clampet was a student of Homer Kelly and the golfing machine. He did not invent impact zone he copied it from Homer. And that was not in the last 15-20 years. Homer has been around for a long while. As I said, there is nothing new in the golf swing, just better ways to present it and understand it.

While technology is visually exciting, ultimately the golf ball tells you what just happened at impact if you just watch and feel. It's all old school with new visuals. Technology has changed teaching, the mechanics are ultimately the same. However, that being said, only the gifted teacher can get you to learn how to co-ordinate your golf swing so the club face meets the ball more solidly.

Why was Bobby a flash in the pan? To quote Mo Norman, too many pieces in his golf swing. Forgot to keep it simple............

TrackMan and ForeSight have taught golfers more about the golf swing and impact in the last 10 years, than anyone ever learned in the 100 preceding years.

Turns out, neither Ben Hogan nor Jack Nicklaus, knew how to make a ball "draw". They only thought they knew.

Ben Hogan's "5 Easy Lessons" is about as far from accurate, as a teaching method could be.

The best swing in golf, probably belongs to Nellie Korda or perhaps Adam Scott. Compare their swings to Scottie Scheffler, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller or Jerry Pate (with the huge reverse-c).

There have been huge advances in understanding the golf swing. Many of which can be attributed to my friend Bobby Clampett and his understand of "impact", as described in his book, the "Impact Zone".

Perhaps the most important lesson of the last 20 years, is that your "golf swing" isn't very relevant. As Lee Trevino once said, "no one has ever hit a golf ball with his backswing". All that matters, is what happens within about 6 inches of the ball ... path, aim, direction, impact.

Bobby was a student of Ben Doyle, not Homer Kelly.

The Impact Zone was written 17-18 years ago.

If you think TGM focused on "impact", you must not have read the book.

& if you think the current swing, is anything like the swing from the Hogan/Nicklaus/Watson days, you should watch some PGA or LPGA Tour events on TV and see the differences.

In my opinion, golf gadgets are mostly scams. They won't improve your golf game. Practice will, and lessons can help.

Default Do your research

Ben Doyle was a golfing machine apostle of Homer Kelly....................it all came from Homer Kelly

TGM focused on all movement, impact is the final result of great movement. and the swings today

involve that movement...the players are just more muscular and use the ground to push off which will take its toll on your back, aka Tiger Woods

Great marketing and merchandizing, though.

It can do a reasonable job of doing what it was designed to do ... improve your swing path. It's not designed to teach you how to golf or how to channel Scottie Scheffler. There are numerous products out there, designed to do the exact same thing, for significantly less money.

1000's of people have "bought" them.

I provided you with links to the premier golf review sites, that provides 100's of reviews and user experiences ... plus instruction to build your own, for $25.

Many of us have access to such things, without purchasing.

It is a well packaged, very slick, consumer friendly gimmick.

It attempts to demonstrates proper swing path ... visually and bio-mechanically.

Use it ONCE, understand the concept and you can replace it with $9.95 Alignment Sticks.
