Default First time process

We're closing on our new house in Sanibel this afternoon. My golf clubs will be here on Saturday. I want to play my first round here early next week. What is the process for setting a tee time? Also, we don't have a golf car yet, so I will be walking and pulling a hand cart.
I probably will start with the executive course closest to our house.
Thanks for your help.

Go to the Villages website and click on the golfing link. It lists the steps for making a tee time.

If you're a single and just want to play an executive, call the starter shack at the executive on the day you want to play and ask for an open teetime. This time of year they're easy to get. You can rent a pull cart for $1 and your golf is free if you walk.

As already mentioned, once you get established go to the 'Good Golf School' given at Colony Cottage Rec Center once a month, usually on a Thursday. You'll find the info in the Sun Sports section.

Once you have your golf cart and want to play on a championship course, as a single you can continue calling the golf course. The best route is to join the villages.net golf system. At LSL on the westside of the square you see their storefront. Go in and fill out an application, in which case youll put a credit card on file and they'll charge you $8 a month for the service. It makes it a lot easier to get teetimes at any of the courses, plus as a single you'll probably want to play in a group of 3 men, not 3 woman. The website will give you all the pertinent details when making a reservation. You can also put in a request up to 7 days in advance, which is sort of mandatory in the winter months as open teetimes will soon dry up or you'll be chasing daylight.
