Default Golf Enhancement Purchase?

Relative newbie here. Looking at the option to buy the golf enhancement. Wondered others thoughts on the benefit. The rate reduction does not seem to be the driver so I am assuming the true benefit would be the priority tee times during the high season.

Also, as a newbie, are there good avenues to locate consistent groups to play with each week? Would like to find a couple of groups to connect with to have consistent playing partners. Thanks in advance.

The math is simple to determine how many rounds per week pays for the up-front fee.

If you are a member of a group and you do not have the enhanced, you screw the whole group when reserving a time.

Some groups will not accept you as a member if you do not have enhanced membership for that reason.

As stated, it’s a very different dynamic if you play in a group where priority is required. Otherwise, the fee is generally only worth it under three circumstances. First, if you play frequently during the busy season when the discount is significantly larger and tee times are harder to come by. Secondly, if you put a high value on specific times of the day to get your preferred tee time. Lastly, if you frequently have a lot of guests and want to get tee times with non residents in your group, especially during busy season. The third reason pi$$es me off. A priority member with guests, and many points for frequent play, still trumps residents with no points (not right IMHO)! Lastly, the whole enhanced member thing is rigged against part time residents as the fee for year round is way cheaper than paying for a partial year when the typical part timer would consider signing up. Oh well, Championship golf is not an amenity , it’s a for profit business, so what are ya gonna do?

[QUOTE=dewilson58;2387466]The math is simple to determine how many rounds per week pays for the up-front fee.

And some groups will not allow a non enhanced person from joining their group. 3 years ago we had a group of around 20 guys and we had a hard time getting a tee time on the better/more popular courses. After we made the change almost always got better tee times
