Default Pitch and putt

Can any resident use the pitch and putt course for free? I would like to use the one down by Edna's and didn't see where you check in

Yes, any resident can use the course. There is a starter shack to the west of Edna’s. You check in on the south side of the building. You might need a tee time. Call before you go. 352-751-7788

You definitely need a tee time. You can call on the day you want to play and see if there is an open tee time.

As stated earlier you need a tee time. Just so you are aware it is a mini executive course where you are hitting tee shots from 50- 100 yards ( just an estimate) . There are 18 holes plus an extra hole that is a long putting green. Astroturf tees and walking only

They do allow walk ons. But, best to call first and check.

To play the course, be sure to dress properly. They have the same dress code as other exec courses.

Be sure to bring some golf balls. I met a golfer there who was walking in because she brought five golf balls and lost all of them.

Before you play, be sure to learn the layout of the course. I have seen several players get lost or confused while playing the course. Once I met a guy who was playing the course for the first time and I said, "Don't get lost." He thought I was joking, but a little while later I saw him hitting from #4 tee to the #14 green.

We’ve played Marshview many times. Fun. And good for short game practice. I’ve mentioned the “get lost” thing to the Starters there many times. Some holes have an arrow sign at the green to the next hole. Most do not. Easy to not know where the next hole is. Since opening they have never added more arrow signs. It’s a guessing game esp for new players. An easy fix but….
