Spiked golf footwear came into being to assist players in walking the hills and slopes of the course, not to assist with the swing.
If you are slipping during your swing, you are over swinging.
Play and practice with what ever I am wearing at the time. Reinforces swinging within your self and discredits the ‘grip and rip’ mentality so prevalent today.

What a great bunch of replies.

I'd add that many women also play in "golf sandals" that have straps similar to Teva water shoes.

You too will be very acceptable to wear these only if you paint your toes....haha

I suspect that's why you're playing Keyboard Golf, rather than playing professional golf. The statistics are unequivocal ... "Grip & Rip It" is the key to good scores. You should be hitting it as hard as you can.

Play ‘Champion’ courses, with both modern blades as well as hickory shafts. Current index is 11. Get your facts straight before making assumptions.

11? Try to hit it harder, so I won't have to give you so many strokes!
