Before moving here, I had 64 hickory shafted clubs, all purchased in England and Scotland. All were pre 20th Century. Sold all but the putters to a dealer. I had several from Tom Stewart which bore the dimple after the clay pipe cleek mark. The dimple signified that Tom himself had made the club vs one of his employees. I still have many antique golf balls, but have lost interest in the hobby of collecting.
