Or run over the rakes while mowing in the DARK. There is a reason they go in the traps...NOTE: This probably also relates to the OP's question about a lack of rakes...

go ahead, pile it on

missing rakes

like I didn't have enough to worry about with Russia invading it's neighbor, China flexing it's muscles, covid, inflation and supply line issues

Let me know when you come up with something more important than golf course conditions: (

No , because it’s not allowed
to put a rake back in trap ( hazard ) only in grass around trap . Check it out .

They want you to put the rakes in the traps at 90 degree angle so when the mowers are out there in the wee hours of the morning they don't get mowed over...
THESE ARE NOT PGA RUN GOLF COURSES... YOU'RE WRONG.
That's why there are instructions at every starter shack on how to replace the rakes...

Do not hit ball into the bunkers and all of the rake concerns will go away

Actually the golf staff were told to cut back on the number of rakes in the bunkers.
Must be running low on revenue...

You mean those rakes aren’t complementary for the taking as part of the $68.48 green fees? Dam, I was getting two dollars a piece for them at the garage sale.

Only 2 dollar ?:1rotfl:

Exactly. I find rakes laying up in the grass in all positions possible and find them in the middle of the bunkers. I'm no angel but it's apparent there are a lot of people not attending good golf class. There is a picture at every starter shack showing how to place the rakes. By the way I hit two good balls Friday. Stepped on a rake!:1rotfl:

The rake bandit. Trying to get a souvenir from a GENUINE Villages golf course. I have to admit that they make BEAUTIFUL wall decorations. Some people get them gold plated.......very artsy!

Technically you're correct but the rule in the villages is "inside the trap perpendicular to the outer edge". Done primarily to keep mowers working in the early morning AND golfers from running over them. The important time to put them back is late in a day so MOST will be out of the mowers way

Why should rakes be put in trap? I can’t reach them so now I have more sand to rake! If I use a club to reach it then I have to add a stroke for grounding my club in trap .
