Default Tds

We were very excited to get on TDS Saturday. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointed in the conditions. The greens were still pretty rough and the fairways hadn't completely grown in. Looks like they pushed the opening, could have used some more growing time. For those expecting the greens to be like they were, they aren't. They are essentially new so they are very hard and difficult to hold. We won't be back for a while. Sad because we absolutely love the layout.

I haven't played there yet. I just started playing golf and have only played El Diablo and Santiago courses. Overall I got the sense the grounds crew try their best to keep the courses in good shape. What I was not impressed was the fact as I made my way thru the courses was the broken tees, trash, divots, and cig butts along the trail. I don't smoke so the only thing I picked up was the broken tees, candy wrappers. Like I say I'm a beginner but I would never think to treat a field of play in this manner. I do realize this is not representative of the majority of players here in TV.

There are two things that are almost totally and completely missing on TV courses....... m
MOST do not play ready golf.......and MOST do not repair divots or ball marks on the greens.........

After 9 years I have concluded the majority that play just do not care.

These two responsibilities alone COULD add so much to the enjoyment of the game and the quality of the courses.

Such a shame.

I'm sad to hear that Tierra isn't in great shape. I loved that course, and thought the greens were pretty good before they went in there to "fix" it. Now that they've been re-done, it will probably take a couple of years for them to come in good, and hold properly.
