Default Tee Time Points

Are tee times awarded based on how many point the golfer has when the request is made or based on how many points the golfer has when the tee time is awarded? If I have points that will drop off tomorrow and if I make a request today for seven days from today will the current points have any effect on getting that tee time?

Tee times are awarded based on points you have when the draw is done, not the day of play. There is no way they can anticipate how many points you will have when the day you requested arrives. You could have not played at all, or obtained a time every day outside the tee time system by searching open times or calling the course directly.

For the most part we do not use the 4-7 day advance tee time option, since it is on the 2 of us and we are not picky. There seems to be enough to pick from inside 3 days. Bt made a big mistake today. I have a friend coming in for next week end staying with us. He wants to play everyday, so I have been putting in requests each day to cover us through next Sunday. But the mistake I made today may impact us. I made a 7:28 tee time to play Mallory with my wife today and we were going to try an executive course (Pimlico) on Monday morning. I got the two days mixed up and showed up today at Pimlico. They were great and put us with another twosome, but I will get hit with the no show points at Mallory. We will see what I get for tee times now. My fault, but I am sure I was not the first to do this.

Our last LSV was in 2011 and the Villages coordinator made the tee times. I don't know if this has changed.

Default Link to document on tee time points

Here is a link directly to the document on golfthevillages.com. This link seems to work, if it takes you back to TOTV, copy and paste the link to a new browser window.
