Good Teacher for Beginner?
I've read through some of the threads here, but I'd still like to hear the latest opinions on a teaching pro for my wife, who's played very little golf. We're not concerned about her becoming a great golfer, just one who knows the basics and can have fun with it. Obviously patience and a friendly approach are critical for the pro we're looking for.
Thanks for your input. |

If your wife prefers a female instructor and doesn't mind going off campus, Continental Country Club is on 44 between Buena Vista and Morse. There is an instructor there named Sandra Chester. She use to be head instructor at Lopez in TV. Then she moved off campus and was an instructor at the driving range on 301 just south of 466, that's where I first saw her. Everytime I went to that range, she had a student. I sometimes would set up nearby so I could hear what she was doing.
The 301 driving range closed about a year ago and she is now located at Continental. I remember doing a search for her name and I was amazed at how many people has taken lessons from her. Here's here website Sandra B. Chester Here, I did a search and you can read many posts https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...rchid=16628241 Sandra even has newcomer classes, this is one of them |
