Default Toughest holes on executive courses

What (with an explanation) is the most challenging hole on the executive courses from the back tees?

Pelican #4 is tough. A blind Tee shot over wetlands...

Is that from the front tees or back tees?

Ditto, #9 on Heron from all tees. It's a blind shot over tall vegetation. Hit and hope.

That is a par four. Just drive to the fairway over the water. From the Golds I have driven the green (and took a birdie shot).

Pelican #9 from the black is consistently 200 yards plus. There is also trouble all down the right.

Back and middle, IIRC...

Pelican has more tough holes than all the others combined. Mira Mesa #9 is also tricky. Very shallow green makes it hard to hit and hold.

#9 at Amberwood. Back tee.
I honestly believe the water has been treated with a golf ball attraction fluid, and the green is protected by the Iron Dome anti- ball system.
That hole has ruined many a good round for me.
My wife played off front tee, and nearly always popped it onto the green!

I've not played all, or even most of the Execs, but hole #5 on El Diablo certainly lives up to the name. Not overly long (172 yards from the back tee) but there is nothing much between the tee and green but what can be best described as a shallow crater with swamp (more or less) on the right extending to the middle, to an elevated green. Hitting the green with your tee shot is not only essential for a good score on that hole but once there it has to stay put: the green is pretty narrow with a VERY steep hill in back with trees and brush, and ( depending on how far over your ball goes) water.

If you have a good repeating swing and are "on" that day then no hole is really difficult unless the distance you can hit a club is less than the length of the hole being played. Otherwise(from experience)for most executive golfers every single hole may be difficult unless you can roll it from tee to green. Just the truth...as much as it hurts to hear.

For whatever reason, I’ve found #7 at El Diablo to be more difficult than #5. The hole has good distance, water, and that huge bunker on the right of the green. But the bass fishing is good in the big pond, and there is even a small parking area fisherman use across the street on Enrique Drive to access the pond. However, as other posters have said, generally speaking Pelican has the most challenging holes of any Executive course.

There are so many great, tough holes from the black tees in The Villages. All are great!

Pelican does scare the hell out of lots of golfers.

Default #3Red Fox - Black Tees

#3- Red Fox - This is one of the most picturesque AND toughest holes in TV.
The only Bailout is LONG. Hole can play 180 yds into the wind. Water all along left and front left of green. Trees all up the left side and close.
(Pelican has several 'mentally tough' holes - love the swamp shots!)

#4 - Oakleigh - Card says 172 for Black Tees, but there is an extra tee box 20 yards deeper. Shot is over water, massive sand trap on right all the way around the green. Big hill on left side. Big Boy's par three - that one.
